Weathered Finish
Showing the Age adn Depth of Wood
Hand Weathering as a Finishing Technique
Sometimes new wood doesn't seem appropriate. Sometimes, you can't find old wood. In these circumstances, weathered finish is appropriate. Distinguished and grain heavy, this finish won't disappoint.
All wood has two primary grain directions, horizontal and vertical. The horizontal give the long straight grain. The verticals pop out of the face if the wood, showing what most people refer to as "wood grain." When weathering wood pieces, we remove the vertical grain, creating a nice textured indention.
BOSSWoodworks is proud to be the only custom woodworking company Austin, Texas to offer this finish. This is a BOSSWoodworks Original Texture.
